From today, September 26, until September 28, 2022, Fedelsa Group joins the celebration of World Tourism Day, which on this occasion has as its theme “Rethinking Tourism”.
Since 1979, the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), established September 27th of each year as a special date to promote this economic sector due to its importance and its social, cultural, political and economic value worldwide.
This year the host country in charge of receiving the delegates of the UNWTO General Assembly is Indonesia. Bali, “the island of the gods” will host the 42nd edition of World Tourism Day. The event seeks to contribute to addressing the global challenges outlined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and to highlight the contribution that the tourism sector can make to achieving these goals.
Colombia is currently one of the most attractive nations for tourism of any kind. In the 2019 index, the country that inspired the movie ‘Encanto’ currently ranks 55th among 140 economies and in South America, it ranks 5th behind Brazil, Peru, Argentina and Chile. If we talk about the city of Cartagena, it is one of the most desired cities by national and international tourists for its beautiful beaches, high quality hotels, its gastronomy, its architecture and history.

In Fedelsa Group, we are in constant search of innovation taking into account the people and the planet. The theme “Rethinking Tourism” inspires us to reflect on the rethinking and responsibilities that contribute to development, through education and employment.
